NEOSEC members represent organizations and networks concerned with ocean science education.  At periodic face-to-face meetings, we develop joint goals for expanding ocean literacy beyond our individual institutions' reach, leveraging limited resources to make progress together.

The Governing Council, including representatives and alternates from every institutional member, holds regular conference calls to monitor progress toward goals.

Between face-to-face meetings, subcommittees also convene via conference calls to develop recommendations for the larger Council.
